Nathan’s ballad “Broken but Breathing” has been a driving force behind the decision, having spent over 7 months at #1 on the Ambient Rock charts.

The other two tracks included in the rankings are “Vagabond”, which is now playing overhead in Target stores, and “Timmy Went Swimming”. All three songs are featured on Nathan’s debut album “A Gentleman’s Closure”.

Darrell, I’m Frustrated With You

I’m sitting in a coffee shop in Birmingham Alabama as I type this. It’s colder in the store than outside in the rain.

So, Darrell! I don’t even know this guy and I’m frustrated at him.  Back in July, I changed my phone number.  In doing that, I got a new phone and a Nashville area code.  Two things happened in doing this.  1. Someone got my old number and is super upset with me because people continue contacting him asking for me and, from what I hear, he continues receiving text messages weekly. 2. I obviously got someone else’s old number, which is where Darrell comes in to play.  I’m upset with him for a different reason than the owner of my old number is with me. Following me so far?  Hope so.  :)

Darrell owes everyone and their mother large sums of money.  I get calls from collectors asking for Darrell ….., I won’t say his last name.  He could Google or Bing his name and find that I mentioned him in my blog and he’d know me as the owner of his old digits and get mad at me for talking about him, which would make for a trifecta of anger all around amongst the phone number’s owners and cause for more problems.

This is how every single call for Darrell goes…
Me: Hello! Collector:…(unnecessary pause) Could I please speak to Darrell …..? Me: I’m sorry, you have the wrong number. Collector: Darrell?! Me: No, this isn’t Darrell! You have the wrong number.  He must’ve owned the phone before me.  Please put me on your do-not-call list! Thank you. Collector: (giggles- they don’t believe me) OK!

This conversation has happened numerous times.  What’s caused this blog was a 7:55 am call the other day.  I had a busy week and decided to sleep in on this day.  Someone from the Jefferson County something or other wanted their money.  As does every other company who calls me multiple times, thinking I am Darrell.  Darrell, pay your bills!  I have to.  Everyone else does too. Step up!
